4th and Long: You Make The Call Poll - Week 6

Putting his men to the test this week, Michael Irvin gave them the key to their own destiny. He wanted to see whose will would break and who didn't really want it, but through of battery of conditioning drills, each and every man proved that he'd rather die on the football field, with honor, than live in shame as a quitter. But with Dallas Cowboys camp creeping closer and closer, Michael is running out of time to find his one man amongst the stars, so now it's time for you to decide if he can afford a week with no eliminations. You choose.

The team went to the bar with all those beautiful ladies. The show would have been more interesting if we could have seen the team gets some "cutty"! LMAO!

Now thats dedication. There are two types of players in this world, Those who play football and football players. All the guys there are Football Players!!!! And for those few of you don't know the differance, than yall shouldn't comment about the players on this show. This show rocks!!!!

I think this was one of the best decisions throughout the entire show. They all bust their ass and hung in there so I think they all deserved a bye week where nobody went home.

Jones needs to be dropped asap. He keeps squeezing by for no apparent reason. I have no idea why Michael keeps sweating him because of his "size"; Jesse Holley is bigger. "He's a beast" is all he keeps saying about Jones, even when he drops the ball often and doesn't do better than the other receivers. He constantly fails to come through in the clutch and more than often gets out-shined by smaller receivers. He's OVERRATED and should have been cut in week 2. Hawkins is underestimated because of his size, nonetheless, he's going to win a spot in the Cowboys roster. Mark my words.

Again Hawkins rips it up as he has been in the past shows. As I said before Hawkins is the "TRUTH". Hes a playmaker. Washington needs to go. Hes a no talent wannabe football player. He needs to stick to track.

i come on here to see the episodes because I work at night. they have not streamed the new show yet if they ever will I have no clue. my fav person has to be gamble, he has heart but he's just old man he's 30. the youngest guy is hawkins at 22 but honestly I think its going to be holley getting the spot because he's big, strong and he's in tremendous shape.

That's working!! Mike is a cold one, getting inside they're heads like that. I deffently thought Jones was going home. Washington should have been cut for some of the women he was talking to, thats not being a good teammate.

Ok they all finished the drills! A carrot in front of their face and they run like rabbits. But who will push after the prize is awarded. Who has real dedication the very first conditioning tests showed that. They should have been in shape when they showed up not six weeks in, Empty the field and tell them to workout for four hours cameras only no coaches no pushes. Call it a day of with personal physical achievement in mind. You would see the ones that truly will push themselves to succeed and those that can only be pushed to succeed. I am sorry guys for their age their conditioning does not impress me. If you whine you don't qualify. I liked the cry a little get a break thing. I guess if it works for you and the coaches more power to you. But again I would have chopped the "slackers" a long time ago. Just my opinion,

I realize they're trying to give Moses the benefit of the doubt since he hasn't played football since high school. However, to keep him on-board at this time or any longer will NOT help the Dallas Cowboys. You may have a man literally wasting an 80th spot who won't make the team & needs to refine his game in the CFL. Too bad there's no NFL Europe. That's where guys like Moses, Erick Jackson or Speedy Gonzalez would fit at this time.

I think it will come down to Hawkins and Moten. Hawkins I think is leaps and bounds ahead of both Jones and Holley, the only downside about him is his size, but he could probably be an effective kick/punt returner and slot receiver in the NFL. On the other hand, no one DB has really established himself as the best like Andrew Hawkins has with the wideouts, but I feel the best DB is Eddie Moten. Moten had a good showing in the full 11 on 11 scrimmage taking the interception all the back for a TD, and he is very consisitent, he has never had a bad week like what Gamble had a few weeks ago. And he also has some good experience playing in the Arena League. While both these guys are great football players, I still think Andrew Hawkins wins it.

Andrew Hawkins has been the most impressive in my eyes. He has the determination, good catching skills, and brings an open field threat with him each time. In all real football situations he has shone, even on special team assignments (where the receivers were better than the DBs in tackling). His lack of size is a disadvantage but nevertheless from what one has seen should be considered by any team looking for an exiting player. He is a ready player in comparion to the others.

Holley has also been good. Good jumper, decent size, smart player. Needs some refining.

Jones has the big size and is probably a good option as a blocking WR or even TE type player. Size is really an important factor. Nevertheless he simply has not had that extra something to negate his general unfitness. Definately a lot of work.

On the DB side Moten is the best so far. Not that any of these DB rock the planet really.

Moses is simply no football player - the toughness and position talent are missing. His effort is comendable but he is just not ready yet.

Donte and Smith both show football talent but nothing to make you want to free a roster spot.

I think another factor to consider is age. Donte Gamble is 30 - is Dallas really going to recruit a 30 year old?

Andrew Hawkins is 22, Holley is 25, Ahmaad Smith is also 25. Even Monte at 27 is a gamble.

Yo montrell should have been cut in this episode. He lagged behind in the 8.5 mile run when recievers should be able to run that in no sweat. Even though he can knock you on your ass he isnt in shape an the cowboys, as much as i hate them do not need a partyboy who aint in shape an has no stamina

I think that Preston should have gotten another chance because he showed his stuff out there, also I'm on the DB side cause I played DB in high school. Donte Gamble should have stayed, but if I had to choose between Gamble or Preston I would definitely go for Preston.

I loved this episode. It kind of brought back memories of a huge all-hands party at Marine Corps officer basic school. Unannounced, everyone was called to muster at 06:00, complete with helmets, flak jackets, 40 pound packs, and massive hangovers. After speed marching 20 miles, everyone pretty much knew who was came with game. While some of the football might be a bit rough around the edges, you can't fault the show for knowing how to do selection up right.

As a longtime Cowboys fan, and a Erving fan, I was extremely disappointed in Ervings decision to cut mcgann. The boy earned a spot and because he was on Jerry Rice's team, michael cut him. What a coward you are Mr. Erving. I am a 5'8" slow white boy who can't jump and would love to put the pads on and crush you. I can't make the cowboys roster, but I can show you what a real man should act like. Just because you can't fill the shoes of Jerry Rice, doesn't mean you should take it out on the young men trying to earn a spot on the cowboys roster. I got something for your show. Set up something that you and I can compete in and if I win, McGann comes back and if I lose, I will apologize for my statements and go through a complete day of training with the guys trying to make the roster. Come on Michael. Up for a challenge.
