The dream ended tonight for Erick Jackson, but with an inured Luke Swan and a timid Moses Washington, was it the right choice? Now's your chance to tell us what you think!
Both Washington and Swan proved they have heart, but Michael Irvin promised a football player and heart alone won’t cut it at Dallas Cowboys training camp. Time is running out and the remaining players need to step up and prove they deserve to stand amongst the Stars.

Ah come on all you people saying No cuz Swan was hurt, but he put in the effort in the training when jackson was way behind, he put in the effort to stretch out and dive to catch the ball and because of poor defense he was injured. I think you'll see a major improvement if Swan gets healed, if not he'll be gone next week.
moses played so bad i understand swan was hurt thats why im really not worried about that part of the decision im just concerned about how bad moses played and they kept him horrible choice i know high school football players that could have covered better than washington
Moses Washington was in my thought was suppose to be that 1 who got cut. I don't believe that he live up to what ppl think he should of been at ......the level was just not in this game !!!..... bad choose !!!! Butthe game con't ... lets see what happen next week
Moses Washington should've been gone. Erick Jackson looked rusty and confused, but he can play. It's dumb to throw away a player with his potential when you have someone like Washington that does not have the potential to be a Football Player. Bad Decision Michael! Don't know what the hell you were thinking!
moses should have been gone should have kept Jackson played hard and Moses needs to loose that goofy azz hat r where it right if he wants to play for my Cowboys
Awesome! Awesome...good call Jackson was given head-ups...he didn't deliver...no... no...to the give me an another chance crap...Washington better watch out next week he can be gone...PEACE
Okay, lets grow up here. Racist? Get over it, but I called it. I told my husband people are always trying to find an excuse and the best one is it was because "I'm ______ (black or white). That¿s old time to face facts. I agree with another fan I want to see Gamble or Hawkins win. However Holley is a true player he reminds me of Many wide receivers.
Now the first epsoide I would have probably sent Speedy home for the ¿injury¿ but I¿m a Property Manager NOT A COACH OR an ¿EXPERIENCED¿ FOOTBALL PLAYER. That¿s why MI is getting paid for this and we are not.
I think Gonzales should have been cut on week one. He has been in the war room twice now, and both times he has stood there with his hands in his pockets while Michael Irvin has made his decision. This not only shows a great amount of disrespect towards Irvin, Bates, and Avezzano, but Gonzales has also constantly portrayed an "I'm better than everyone else" attitude, without any actions to back up this attitude on the field.
The only reason I think it was a bad choice is because the show is time limited so the person that is injured should have gotten cut because the odds of bouncing back from that type of injury in such a short amount of time. However if every one was healthy Jackson should have been cut.
washington should have been cut, he didn't have any reason to say why he didnt perform! Swan was hurt but still put in work but watch out if he is still hurt next week its lights out for him!
As a lifelong Cowboy fan anda much as I Love Micheal Irvin this is the 1st obvious FUMBLE I've seen him make. Washington is a good dude, but you CANNOT learn the defensive back position @ the Professional level people. He has no understanding of the basic fundamentals. He is really and truly a track and field man. Better luck @ the Olympic dude.
I personally think they got it right, he was getting outplayed all show. You look at Swan, even though he was hurt, gave 110%. Now if that injury doesn't get better very quickly, then it's time to cut him.
everyone there has played football before, there is no excuse for washington not knowning what to do EJ should still be there..................Washington should go home........Swann put forth the effort sorry he got hurt but he will be able to play another day, Washington if he was a pro he would be the waterboy to late in the game to try to learn football. If you ask me All players should know Ironman neverknow when and where you might be needed.
I am very disappointed in Eric Jackson. As a UT fan I am embarrassed that he didn't show up. Then didn't take responsibility for his mistakes. He screwed up in the drill. Then didn't show up in the game. Of course, we as fans don't get to see all the tape. But he needs to understand, that when Michael pulled him aside, he was warned that he needed to make some plays. He should have got to the ball on that one play. If not getting to the ball, he should have knocked out the blocker coming his way. Had he done that, he'd still be in the competition. He cried about Swan being hurt. Well, I guess if Swan hadn't got hurt, you'd have no excuses, right. ?!?!!?
Moses should have gone home. But, because Moses was more aggressive during the drill, Jackson got sent packing.
I think it was the right call to send Erik Jackson home tonight. H e did not perform during the game when it counts. Cornerback (the island) position is the most difficult position to play in football. Heart and skills is necessary at the CB position. The right choice was made.....
What are they thinking? Moses Washington is fast but, not a bright player at all. His football IQ is very low and is to soft for football. They got it right on the 1st two shows but, man did they miss this one. Washington needs to go!
bad decision moses should've gone home he was lost during the drills he hasnt done anything worthy of keeping his spot in any episode and he got burnt all game long during the scrimmage......but then again the cowboys did let roy williams play in their secodary for a while....glad to see him finally gone....thats 2 wrong decisions so far, maybe they will get it right next week
Erick Jackson can play for A semi pro team and he can keep working at a job in 2 or 3 years in the NFL if he trains harder and gains more speed and learns how to be violent on the field but a good person off the field. As for swan I agree to give him one week to heal but those grion injurys take 90 days with pilates and yoga. He will be fired next week. The defense has some decent DB's some as good as pac-man jones and that is not saying much. I see more of a chance out of the recievers for one of them to win. That one giant reciever he does remind me of terrel owens with his body size, but not as terrel the trouble maker. The great Bill Bates #40. The coach and the Man Himself Mike Irvin the play maker have a good chance to reward Mr. Jerry Jones with one good player for our Cowboys. To be honest with you even though only one young man can win there are a few guys that can compete for jobs on the cowboys will they land a roster spot that is another story. In football you have to have an inner time bomb waiting to go off every play as a defender. As a reciever you must have a good solid mind. There are many factors to be a great football player one is speed and the other is heart. john. s. Cowboy fan since age 7. back in the day 1977.
In truth, all three should have been sent home. But, this being tv... I think there were high expectations for Eric Jackson. He had a shot. Instead of making plays, he made excuses. And, I'm keeping in mind that we don't get to see all the tape. On Bull in the Ring, he didn't get Jones or Holley out of the circle. He got Speedy (small guy) out. But, okay ?!?!? Then he got punked by the WR's when he was in the ring. What did he do, "they got me in trouble, shoot...". What the hell is that ?!?! He talked about what he was going to do in the game. Then... well... nothing. After Michael talked to him, he could have redeemed himself for the whole day by making an INT, or a knockout. He did neither.
Stop making excuses for him. I'm a huge UT fan. I'm embarrassed. He's talking about what he's going to do for some other NFL team. Looking at that, I'd be surprised if he gets on a practice squad. He's all talk and no game. He didn't take responsibility for his lack of performance. He pointed fingers.
I think Moses Washington should've been gone i thought Erick Jackson was an Overall better player than washington. But swan better watch out and try not to get injured next time or he might get cut
I agree....Wrong decision, Moses Washingtom has no clue what to do, he doesnt listen, he doesnt understand what a real football drill is. Lots of heart, I will give him that but......Jackson should have stayed, atleast another week. Washington or even too hurt to play Swann should have gone. Getting hurt means getting off the field. He is conditioned, he has heart, but benchwarming injured is not a position you are going to make a living at in the NFL. He is too fragile.
Swan should've been cut in my opinion. You can almost see the uncertainty in his eyes. It looks like he seems to be out-classed and scared of more injuries.. Hell, even Washington was a more valid pick than Jackson. Thinks you guys really "dropped the ball" this week....
Mosses did give up big plays but Jones showed that he had a bad attitude. Complaining when Swan took off runnin the stairs, sayin he was "hot doin". They are playin for a contract, thats what ur suppose to do, seperate yourself. Instead of talkin he needed to man up and push harder. Then after being cut he go after his coaches sayin they were wrong. The cowboys got rid of TO for that reason. I think in the end it was the righ choice.
Jackson might have not won the show but he is better fit to make the other players better.. now with Moses Washington there is no one to test the receivers.
Now a lot of you posters are saying that Irvin is racist...He must have been reading these comments because he kept the white guy when he should have cut the black guy tonight...Irvin has been preaching about being injury prone and toughness and then the black guy who only made one mistake gets cut...how is the white guy going to contribute next episode when he has already injured his hamstring and his groin...this is a backlash from all of the comments posted...Hey michael if you are reading this just judge the guys off of the criteria...Don't worry we will still watch the show no matter what color the guys are...
I agree with Ervin. Erick Jackson did not step up to the plate, even after Michael pulled him to the side with the other dude. Apperently Jackson payed no attention to the warning, or wasn't really trying hard enough. As for "Luke" I would've really considered him as to be the first one to go. However, Luke didn't really get to play and he can't really be accountable for his incident. As a matter of fact; this is his second time having the same injury, and i think that he may not recover from it, so unless he does something spactacular next week. he should be on the chopping block if not by himself.
Over all, we all know that only one guy is going to be picked, however, if someone wants to make to the next round, they have to give it their all. Jackson didn't give it his all. even in his excuse, he admitted that he wasn't there. Unfortuantly in pro, there are no excuses. one excuse can make the difference between which teeam will win the game.
I think Moses should have gone. Erick had a couple bad plays and some good hits. Moses got burned all night. Swan was hurt he needed a chance to rehab and see what he can do going forward. Moses needs to stick to track he is too soft to be a football player
I think they made the right decision this week. Not to say that I don't think Moses didn't deserve to go, but All the Cowboys need is one more over the top egotistical arroganant idiot that thinks he "deserves" this? UM NO, no one DESERVES it....you EARN it..and Jackson sure did not earn it. He showed absolutely no character, no integrity and no heart for the game. Jackson did NOT show that he has earned a spot to compete for this position, then again there are a few others that also don't look like they have what it takes to be there.
I know it's reality TV and there is alot we don't see. The drill they did in the water had probably been run about 4 or 5 times before we saw they guys run it, so it looked like they were loser, when in reality they were probably beat down... but that's not our call.
What WE, the audience can see, is the fire in their eyes, their attitudes, their desire and their willingness to do whatever it takes. I'm telling you, Jones doesn't haven't, whether he's a beast or not....Jackson doesn't have it...and while Washington and Gonzoles may have the desire - the ability may not be there.
Gamble, Hawkins - they have it. McGann, who they've already cut had it, I think they should bring McGann back and get rid of the guys that don't have the heart first.........
Black or white, is bullcrap.......I think with this group of guys it's either "Heart and Soul" or "Show Me the Money"...that's one of the two groups that each fall in to. McGann "Heart and Soul"....Jackson "Show me the Money".....Gamble "Heart and Soul, "Hawkins "Heart and Soul"... Johnson "Show me the Money"...
