Comic Con 2013 plays host to some of the most maniacal fans in film, gaming and pop culture. Scores of movie and TV panels, cosplay participants and memorabilia vendors line the corridors as far as the eye could see . For a select group of lucky fans, there was also a chance to return to Comic Con next year, FOR FREE. All they had to do was vie for the win in Geico's Comic Hero Challenge.
Roughly a dozen contestants stepped into the competition in hopes of being named the newest civilian-turned-super-hero. The rules were simple: Each contestant has one minute to devise a killer costume, and a backstory- the winner won bragging rights and a plane ticket for next year.
Let's take a look at the field:
Suffice it to say, the gauntlet had been laid down for our contestants. After some short deliberation the field was narrowed to three. Would you rather be a "SuperBro," a "Digital Wonder," or a "Warrior of Peace?" Again the judges had their work cut out for them.
What would your super power be? Flight? X-Ray vision? Let's hear from the would-be world guardians themselves:
The competition was fierce, the judges turned over every stone, and things were not taken lightly. If the world was ending and one of these guardians had to step up, who would you want to bear the burden? Every factor was taken into consideration as the thrilling competition reached a climax.
In the end, nobody could touch the party-licious ways of "SuperBro." Well done, bro.
