Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Welcome a Baby Girl

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban announced the newest addition to their family yesterday. Urban and Kidman’s joint press release stated: "Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret. No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier." Kidman and Urban are Faith's biological parents, but the superstar pair did use a surrogate. Science rocks. [TMZ]

Man Celebrating Jets Victory Dies Tragically, in a Sled

Following the New York Jets' victory over the New England Patriots, one fan's celebration went a little worse than expected. WPIX reports that "A Staten Island man, who was celebrating the New York Jets' victory over the New England Patriots, took a fatal sled ride down his driveway and into the path of an oncoming vehicle Sunday night. Police say football fan Raymond Larsen, 46, was sledding down his unplowed driveway at 286 Cleveland Avenue in Great Kills just before 9 p.m. to celebrate the Jets' win." [WPXI]

Regis Philbin Leaving Live! With Regis and Kelly

After headlining the show for more than two decades, Regis Philbin officially announced this morning that this will be his last season as host on Live! With Regis and Kelly. “This will be my last year on this show," Philbin said this morning on Live!. "It's been a long time, it's been 28 years since I've been here. And it was the biggest thrill of my life to come back to New York, where I grew up as a kid watching TV in the early days, you know, never even dreaming that I would one day have the ability, or whatever it takes, to get in front of the camera and talk to it.” I’m getting this weird feeling that Ryan Seacrest is gonna be replacing Mr. Philbin. I’m so glad I don’t watch daytime TV. [Huffington Post]

Hockey Players are Just Tougher Than You

Florida Panthers defenseman Bryan McCabe is going to miss some time due to a few face injuries that sounds pretty painful. Not painful enough, however, that he wasn't able to finish the game in which he received them. According to TSN "McCabe suffered the injury during the first period of Saturday's Panthers victory over the New Jersey Devils after being hit in the face with a shot. Panthers' head coach Peter DeBoer told the Miami Herald that X-rays done following the first period suggested that there was a broken bone in McCabe's face, however he chose to return to the game with a large plastic guard over the injury." As I type this, I'm currently sitting at my desk with a bandage over my thumb after suffering a mild paper cut. Seriously, it still hurts a little. [TSN]
