Lil Wayne Might Be Going Away For a While
Rap superstar Lil Wayne was at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse today in New York City and the outcome of his little visit wasn’t exactly ideal.
Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession today at the courthouse and is expected to receive a one-year jail sentence.
Weezy had previously pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3 1/2 years in prison upon conviction. Police said a gun was found on his tour bus in Manhattan in 2007. When asked what type of gun he possessed, Wayne said, "A .40-caliber semi-automatic."
His trial is due to start January 20th. Wayne is so screwed.
