Former NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp has joined forces with the interwebz for a new YouTube show entitled, Judge Sapp.
I had a chance to talk to Warren about how the idea materialized. He noted that The NOC, an online athlete entertainment channel, approached him with the concept.
There are currently two videos online for everyone to check out. Similar to most judge shows, the situations 'presided over' are rather ridiculous. The 7-minute episode I watched, was about a bait and switch sale for poor quality hair extensions. I wasn't sure if it was a complete set up or not. Warren stated; "Real cases, real people." We'll have to stay tuned as there appears to be a wheel of prizes alongside the regular courtroom DJ and legal analyst.
Warren is no stranger to the web and social media, but he hasn't always been tech savvy. He did share with me however, that in his 13 years in the NFL, he didn't have a laptop. He has over 830k followers [on Twitter] and said he does all the tweeting himself. Naturally, he has been pushing the show out on his account.
The show is slated for 30 online episodes and can be watched here.Take a gander at the first full episode below:
