Actress/menace to society/substance abuser Lindsay Lohan was the first actress to be offered the part in the summer smash hit The Hangover that eventually went to Heather Graham, according to a news report. Why would an out-of-work "entertainer" pass? Hit the jump to find out.US Magazine reports that Lohan, "declined the role of stripper Jade in The Hangover after declaring the screenplay 'had no potential.'" Speaking of no potential, has Lindsay looked in the mirror lately?
The report goes on:
A source tells Us that director Todd Phillips approached Lohan to star in the hit flick — which has raked in $205 million so far — after their mutual agent campaigned on the actress’ behalf. "The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her," says the source, "and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn't like the script!"
In her defense, Lohan is only 23 years old and isn't really expected to have an eagle eye for winning scripts. On the other hand, she isn't exactly getting a lot of work these days and probably shouldn't have looked a gift horse in the mouth--especially one with exceptional dental hygiene. It simply adds yet another chapter in the book of Lindsay failing at life miserably.
Never thought we'd say anyone should take life lessons from Mike Tyson, but at least he was smart enough to say yes to the movie.
