Jersey Shore’s Snooki has come up with a novel way to perform her court-mandated community service… she’s going to sign autographs. Yes, autographs.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s recent bad behavior on a New Jersey beach ended with the reality television star standing before a judge, being fined $500, and ordered to perform two days of community service. Snooki has already completed one of those days by working an animal shelter. Now she has to complete her second day, and she’s going to do it by signing autographs.
Snooki is not giving her signature away for free. No siree. The pint-sized self-described “guidette” is hocking her John Hancock for coin at the Seaside Heights Community Center with the proceeds going to charity. According to her lawyer Raymond Raya, “If people want an autograph, they will make a $10 contribution to Donations of Love. Nicole will also be making an additional contribution to the organization.” This is all fine and dandy, but what if no one wants an autograph? Is it still considered community service?
Now before you think Snooki is getting off lightly by penning her way out of community service, think about her tiny hands. According to her lawyer “It can be quite painful to sign autographs for three hours.”
I really hope this makes Snooki think long and hard about her crime.
