Alex Ovechkin Has Seen One too Many Ivan Drago Fights

bydavidbreitman   December 13, 2010 at 2:58PM  |  Views: 96

Frustrated by his recent scoring slump and inspired by the fancy Russian training montages in Rocky IV, Washington Capitals denture model Alex Ovechkin decided to jump Sidney Crosby in the only statistical category that is still within his reach: Awkward euro-fighting.

During the Capitals 7-0 loss to the New York Rangers, Ovechkin decided to take matters into his own soft, delicate hands and rally the troops by letting Brandon Dubinsky (who sounds like a nice, Jewish boy) punch him in the face a few times.

It seems like an unusual leadership strategy, but after losing six games the Capitals are willing to give anything a try.
