Jennifer Aniston is “The Lonely Girl”
Jennifer Aniston strikes a sexy, seductive pose in the September issue of Elle magazine. The 40-year-old poses in an open jacket and shows off her main assets. The perpetually unlucky-in-love actress opens up about being lonely and says it’s something she’s fine with. She tells the mag, "If I'm the emblem for 'this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,' so be it. I can make fun of myself. And I'll bring it up as long as the world is bringing it. I'm not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room. It's fine. I can take it.” [Huffington Post]
Let’s Boycott Megan Fox Boycott Day
Folks at a bunch of websites have become sick and tired of Megan Fox and decided that she is overexposed. They have vowed to teach her a lesson and make today a Megan Fox-free day, which they’ve christened “A Day Without Megan Fox.” Now COED Magazine has called bulls**t, deciding to boycott the Megan Fox boycott by “going balls to the wall with Megan Fox content” today. We like their style. After all, a day with out Fox is like a day without sunshine. [COED Magazine]
Carla Gugino is a Sucker
Carla Gugino, the ravishing actress who played the original Silk Spectre in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, is teaming up with Snyder again for his project Sucker Punch. The basic premise goes thus: “The 1950s-set tale follows a girl confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. She and her friends enter an alternate reality where they begin planning an escape.” Gugino is going to play Mrs. Schulz, though we don’t have any details about what exactly that entails just yet. The movie’s also going to star Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish, and Emily Browning, and apparently all the women are undergoing fight training. This is going to be a lot of hot kickassness. [Slash Film]
John August Takes on the Famous Novelist
The screenwriter who brought us Go, Charlie’s Angels, Big Fish, Corpse Bride and others -- John August -- is now taking on the adaptation of Steve Hely’s novel, How I Became a Famous Novelist. He might direct, too, which is an exciting prospect. The man is also working on the screenplays to Preacher and Dark Shadows, so his plate is very full right now. But as a man who has worked time and again with Tim Burton it will be interesting to see what kind of director he’s become – will he be similarly dark and moody and gothic, or will he have a completely new aesthetic that’s as original as Burton was in the ‘80s? Netflix "Watch Instantly" Streaming Service Coming to the iPhone?
A "industry executive familiar with Netflix's plans" speaking with Multichannel News claims that Netflix will soon extend the "Watch Instantly" video streaming service currently offered PC and Xbox Live users to the iPhone and the Nintendo Wii. Rumors about the service coming to the Wii have been floating around for awhile now, but this is the first we've heard about the service coming to Apple's golden boy. Naturally, Netflix refused to comment on the rumor. [Engadget]
