Jon Taffer has seen some of the most ignorant and selfish bar owners in his long career of trying to help failing bars. From drunks, creeps, and ego ridden owners, Jon has had to deal with some of the most difficult bar owners in America. Here is a list of the Top 10 most difficult owners Jon has come across on Bar Rescue. Let's just hope we never have a boss like these ones.
10. Ryan- Swanky Bubbles
Ryan was the co-owner of this Chicago champagne bar who thought he was a funny man. If there is one thing Jon doesn't like when he is trying to get a bar back on its feet, it's a funny man. Ryan also had trouble coming to the conclusion that the failing bar was mostly his fault. A funny BS-er? Jon's worst nightmare.
9. Scott- Rocks
Scott had stupid ideas, rude bartenders and one hell of a creepy brother in law, a trio of things Jon hates. None of these things help when trying to fix a failing bar, especially that drunk creepy brother in law…
8. The Frat Brothers- TJ Quills
A bar owned by a bunch of fraternity brothers is automatically a bad sign. A bar owned by a bunch of drunken fraternity brothers? That sounds like something Jon Taffer is not going to like, especially when you combine that with fake I.D's and underage drinking, ouch.
7. Tim- Angry Hams Garage
Tim had a huge ego and when it comes to ego's that big, Jon has a hard time dealing with them. Jon decides it would be a good idea to change the name of the bar, but that wasn't going to fly with Tim, leaving Jon in a bit of a jam.
6. Frank- Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar
Frank is running a dirty, gross tiki bar that refuses to admit its problems. There is one thing that Jon hates and that is finding a dirty bar and a reluctant bar owner. Words from the wise: When Jon starts to yell, just back down.
5. Tim- Olive Pit
Want a lesson in being a difficult bar owner? Be both creepy and drunk. Jon can't stand a bar owner that drinks on the job let alone one that is also creepily touching his employees, it just doesn't fly in Jon Taffer's world. To be worth Jon's time you have to care somewhat about your bar, one thing Tim didn't seem to care too much about
4. Steve- Turtle Bay
Even though Steve wasn't an owner he made Jon's job very difficult. He knew nothing about his job, and was just pretty much living the life. When you're talking to Jon Taffer, the ultimate bar god, know something about your bar! Steve knew very little, and when someone knows nothing about bars, Jon gets pissed.
3. Terry- Extremes Bar and Grill
As we already know Jon hates drunken bar owners and Terry from Extremes Bar and Grill was the king of drunken bar owners. Jon knew Terry was going to be a problem from the moment he walked in, when Terry was mid shot with some customers! Jon finds Terry and his personality so repulsive he threatens to never come back, now that's when you know you're a bad owner.
2. Steve- Headhunters
Steve from Headhunters got all his kicks from making Jon pissed, which pissed Jon off even more and as we know that is never good. Steve was also full of excuses, now come on; we all know Jon Taffer HATES excuses.
1. Ami- Zanzbar Billiards
Ami is probably the worst self-centered bar owner we have seen on Bar Rescue. He was all about himself, cared nothing about his employees and most of all disrespected Jon and his staff. When Ami disrespected Jon and his staff, tempers flared and Jon had seen enough. We now know that Jon just doesn't say fightin' words, he's also a fighter.
