Spike and the UFC have officially announced that Fight Night 20 will be held on January 11 in Fairfax, VA. As always, Fight Night airs for free on Spike.
The card will be headlined by the rematch of Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard, rounded out by the co-featured bout of Efrain Escudero vs. Evan Dunham.
Diaz recently snapped a losing skid with his win over Melvin Guillard at FN 19 and will look to gain some traction by stringing together some wins, but Maynard is riding one of the hottest streaks in the lightweight division and will have pride on the brain as he tries to avenge the loss he suffered to Diaz while competing on season 5 of The Ultimate Fighter.
Maynard has come a long way since his time on the show and he looked incredible in his last bout, a win over Roger Huerta, but Diaz remains one of the toughest fighters in the division and his jiu jitsu might still be too much for Maynard to overcome.
Efrain Escudero and Evan Dunham are both taking undefeated records into this matchup of bright, young prospects. Escudero made his presence known by backing up his championship on The Ultimate Fighter with a TKO of Cole Miller at UFC 103, while Dunham, training out of Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, will look to make a name for himself by besting the wrestler out of Tempe, Arizona. Dunham is coming off wins against Per Eklund and Marcus Aurelio in his first two UFC fights.
