Ben Wallace gets arrested, PETA is at it again, and Scarlett Johansson is still really pissed about her leaked nude pictures…the Mantenna is what you make of it!

Ben Wallace, a beloved Pistons player, joined an unfortunate fraternity of NBA players last night when he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and police found an unloaded pistol in the back of his 2007 Escalade. Wallace, a record-holding four-time winner of the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award, is popular in Detroit and widely seen as a key player in the Pistons' 2004 championship win. This also happens to be his second major brush with the law: NBA fans will remember he and Ron Artest were the sparks for the infamous Pacers-Pistons brawl. Wallace is facing five years if convicted. PETA: Still D***heads

Charles Wickersham is a lucky guy. He was out spear-fishing with friends when he was attacked by a shark and managed to survive, while he's still in intensive care. Spike would like to take this moment to say to Wickersham's family that we hope for a full recovery and our thoughts are with them, and also, we'll help hold down the PETA reps while you kick them in the junk for bagging on Charles. Yep, PETA, that bastion of class and taste, responded to this tragedy by taking out a billboard showing a shark with a leg in its mouth labeled "Payback is Hell". When contacted to apologize, instead they whined about how people hurt fish. In response, Spike would like to take this moment to tell PETA: we're off to Long John Silver's. Can we get you anything? Scarlett Johansson is Still Really Pissed About Her Leaked Nude Pictures

In a recent interview with CNN, following her nude photo scandal last month, Hollywood sexpot Scarlett Johansson went off about privacy and explained why even famous people deserve to be left alone once in a while. Scarlett stated: "Who doesn't want to protect their own privacy? There are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and finally you have to kind of put your foot down and say, 'Oh wait, I'm taking it back.'" For those of you that do not know, Scarlett has actually contacted the FBI in recent weeks to help find the person responsible for the hack and eventual online leak. "If [one's privacy] is sieged in someway, it feels unjust. It feels wrong," Johansson added. I think a few of us may disagree with Scarlett on this one. Just saying. [CNN]

Hip-Hop Pioneer Sylvia Robinson Passes Away

R&B singer Sylvia Robinson, also known as the Mother of Hip-Hop, passed away earlier today at a New Jersey hospital at the age of 75. After garnering some musical success in the mid-'50, '60s and '70s, Robinson formed Sugar Hill Records and helped craft the first real hip-hop hit ever made. After putting together the Sugar Hill Gang with members Big Bank Hank, Wonder Mike and Master Gee, Robinson produced the now-legendary hit "Rapper's Delight" and helped usher in one of the biggest musical movements of all time. If that wasn't enough, she also eventually signed Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five to the label as well and put out a little tune called "The Message". This women really knew what she was doing, y'all. Who knows where music would be today without her influence. RIP Sylvia Robinson [Billboard]
