Girlfriend Bites Man's Tongue Off

March 10, 2009

A British woman has been convicted of biting off her boyfriend’s tongue. Tracy Davies, aged 40, consumed a third of Mark Coghill’s tongue after telling him, "You never give me smoochy kisses anymore." The couple were celebrating Coghill’s birthday and had each drunk a bottle of vodka.

The vicious game of tonsil hockey occurred after Davies became upset because she was not pregnant. Coghill went to comfort her with a kiss and she bit down hard on his tongue. Coghill screamed. When she stopped chomping "She let out a satisfaction sound, like if you have a cup of tea when you haven't had one for a few days. A 'mmmm' sound," Coghill said. She then spat the tongue on the floor.

Mr. Coghill was rushed to hospital, however surgeons were unable to reattach the torn tongue.

Davies faces jail time.
