Comic-Con 2011: Pixar Artists Pull a Fast One and Stage Their Own Fanboy Con

If you are one of the few unfortunate souls who was not able to worm your way into the biggest comic book, science-fiction, action movie, and video game confab in the whole of human existence, then put down that grappling hook and stop trying to scale the San Diego Convention Center. There's another comic book convention, literally just across the street.

Two Pixar artists, Scott Morse and Ted Mathot, are holding their own fanboy convention in San Diego at the same time as the Comic-Con called "Trickster," a get-together that focuses only on the best in comics book writers and graphic artists at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center.

The Comic-Con alternative might sound like its poor man's doppleganger, but it actually has quite a few noticeable names from the comic book world including Hellboy artist Mike Mignola, Watchmen artist and writer Dave Gibbons and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, who is there to perform and promote his own forthcoming comic book.

And, of course, it's filled with plenty of smoking hot booth babes dressed up as everyone's favorite comic book characters. Oh models, is there anything you can't do...besides me?
