Thom Yorke Starts a New Band with Flea

September 29, 2009

Thom Yorke has been quite a busy man of late and he has now posted on Radiohead's blog that he’s started a new band to perform his solo material.

The band consists of Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, multi-instrumentalist Mauro Refosco, and Beck/R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker.

Two shows have been scheduled for the unnamed band on October 4th and 5th at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. The show should be interesting to say the least, but Thom did warn that "the set will not be very long” because they “haven't got that much material yet"

I wonder if they’ll do any cover songs?
