The third annual Virgin Mobile Festival is set to take place at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course on August 9 and 10.

The United States edition of the Virgin festival has put together quite a bill for its 2008 installment, including performances by Bob Dylan, Kanye West, Wilco, Iggy & The Stooges and Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne?! Sweet! I hope more mainstream rap acts try to bulk up their indie cred by hopping on the summer festival bandwagon. It totally changes the entire tone of any live festival setting. Kanye is shaking in his boots as we speak.
