Danica Patrick in Sonic All Stars & Real People We Wanna See in Video Games

All Access Weekly is back this Thursday after taking a couple weeks off to celebrate the holiday. Look, we had a big meal, okay? That turkey wasn't going to thaw and cook itself. We may be the fastest five minutes in gaming, tech, and comics, but we need a little more time to prepare a proper Thanksgiving meal.

In our return to television this week, we're joined by none other than Danica Patrick, the woman who broke through the gender barrier in racing and became the first woman to win a race in an IndyCar series and the highest placing woman ever in the Indianapolis 500.

You can also notch off another first for her as she stars as the only human in the racing game Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed, out now for the X-Box 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, 3DS, Playstation Vita, and for the PC. Danica will face off against characters from the Sonic franchise including but not limited to Sonic himself, Knuckles, and Tails. She'll also be joined by plenty of other guest stars, including MeeMee from "Super Monkey Ball" and Wreck-It-Ralph from the new Disney film of the same name.

See our feature on "Wreck-It-Ralph" from earlier this month The uber-fun cart racer maintains all of the great aspects of previous installments, but also adds a new feature that will allow you to alternate between car, boat, and plane during a race. Each comes with its own unique controls, providing for both a new dimension of fun and challenge.

We'll get some time to talk to Danica about her racing accomplishments, racing tech, and her new role in the video game a brand new episode of All Access Weekly, airing this and every Thursday at midnight/11c. In the meantime, we thought it'd be cool to see more real-life athletes and celebrities cross over to video games. Like…

Charles Nelson Reilly in "The Walking Dead: The Video Game"

Reilly unfortunately isn't with us anymore, which is why it'd be cool to see him attack Rick and company. Hell, why not make them all celebrities? Look out for Fatty Arbuckle, Rick!

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman in "NHL 13"

Gary Bettman NHL All Access

With the lockout making it look more and more like we won't see a 2013 season at all, we have to give him something to do. Why not reign over the digital realm? We could also throw in the owners as a playable team. I'm sure the NHLPA would love that.

Amanda Bynes in "Need for Speed: Most Wanted"

It seems almost silly to have a game called "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" and not include the most dangerous driver West of the Mississipii. Maybe we could even center the game around her. Uh oh, license revoked! Would you like to play again?

King Mo in "Dead or Alive 5"

The fifth installment in the series already includes guests from the Sega's "Virtua Fighter" games. How about some from the real world? In particular we'd love to see Mo make his entrance with dancing ladies every single time he goes out there to fight.

R. Kelly in "Halo 4"

This might actually seem a bit esoteric, but we happen to love the new storyline mode in "Halo 4." The only thing that could make it better would be to have R. Kelly guest star as a space marine and do what he does best: sing to you things that are happening.

You might have noticed that all the games we used here are nominees for VGA 10. Check out all the nominees and make your selections at our sub-site.
