Sniper Rifle-Mounted RC Helicopter Controlled With Xbox

byReverend_Danger   April 17, 2009 at 3:02PM  |  Views: 198

The University of Utah is taking first-person shooters to a whole new height of deadly reality.

They’ve taken an RC helicopter (appropriately named the Vigilante 502 UAV) and put a G.D. sniper rifle on it.  How the hell would you control it?  Oh, well, you’d use a video game controller.

It’s important to distance yourself from the guy you’re shooting in the face.  I learned that from Shooter. What better way than by making sniping in real life almost exactly like a video game?

However, the most interesting part about this device is that it was cooked up at the conservative-leaning, predominately-Mormon, University of Utah. What else must they have up their sleeves?
