More Drama From the Set of Twilight

Rachelle Lefevre, who played the villain Victoria in the first two Twilight films (the second of which, New Moon, hasn't even been released yet), has been replaced for the third, Eclipse. Ouch! When we fall we fall hard.

Lefevre has been replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard who, while she's terribly attractive, hasn't been much of a draw in the big films she's been in so far: Spider-Man 3, Terminator Salvation, Lady in the Water.

The reason for Lefevre's leaving is supposedly "scheduling conflicts," as the actress is shooting an indie with Dustin Hoffman called Barnie's Version. Well, you can't fault her for not having taste. Tweener fantasy tripe...or Dustin Hoffman... Yeah, that's not really a choice.

The question is: was there really a scheduling conflict, or are the producers of Twilight just trying to get more name talent on the roster?

Another question is: who cares? Here's to the day when Twlight hysteria comes to an end.
