Lars Ulrich Downloaded Music Illegally?!

by dsussman   March 03, 2009 at 5:02PM  |  Views: 88

Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, who notoriously waged a war with Napster in 2000 over illegal downloading, admitted in a recent interview that he used the internet to steal a full album of music without spending a single penny. Whaaa?!?!?

Lars told Eddie Trunk of the VH1 Classic series That Metal Show that he “sat there” by himself “and downloaded Death Magnetic (illegally) from the Internet just to try it." The Metallica drummer seemed impressed by the experience, exclaiming, “Wow, this is how it works.”

He did go on to say that if anybody has the right to download Death Magnetic for free it should be him.
