Mercedes-Benz Wants to Demolish the World's Drifting Record

June 15, 2011
Records, much like rules, curfews, and poorly constructed spines, were made to be broken. Mercedes-Benz has had its eye on breaking the world's longest drift record of 6,280 feet for awhile now and they’re aiming to break it with either their C63 or E63 AMG, possibly before the end of the year.

And if that wasn't an impressive enough goal, their demonstration driver Mauro Calo is not only aiming to top a record that he already topped, but he wants to do it by reaching at least 10,000 feet. The smell of burning rubber never sounded so awesome.
