Octomom is Broke

Nadya Suleman, a.k.a Octomom, is broke and set to go on welfare. The mother of 14 who made headlines worldwide are giving birth to eight babies in early 2009 hoped to cash in on her story. Sadly the piles of cash never came. RadarOnline says, “Nadya has nannies and huge expenses raising 14 children. She needs a lot of money just to keep up with the basics. And now the income has dried up and she didn't make enough in the past year and a half to live off of it… She's still hoping to pull off a deal that will pay her a fortune but at this point it just doesn't seem possible." This is not the first time Suleman has faced financial ruin. Earlier this year she was nearly evicted from her home after falling behind on her mortgage. Her father reportedly bought her the house but can no longer continue to support her. [Radar]

Adam Lambert Gets Accused of Battery

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert allegedly threw down with the paparazzi in Miami yesterday. According to TMZ, a paparazzo filed a claim with Miami police that accused him of a misdemeanor battery. The police report claims Lambert allegedly grabbed the photographer’s bag and "forcefully" tackled him to the ground. Lambert recently hit Twitter to stick up for himself  "Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground.... It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime -- that's all I'm guilty of." If charged and found guilty, Lambert could face up to a year in jail. More to come. [TMZ]

Horse Groomer Gets a Little Too Friendly

A sexually confused man at Arlington Park Racetrack was recently arrested for giving his horses a little more "hands on" treatment than the stable - or legal community - was completely comfortable with. According to the Sun Times "Esbin Cal-Orozco, 29, was charged Thursday with one count of sexual contact with an animal -- a Class 4 felony, Arlington Heights police sgt. Mike Hernandez said. On Friday, he was ordered held on $25,000 bond." No word yet as to whether or not the horse plans to sue him in a civil trial. [Sun Times]

NHL Legend Unhappy to Read that he Recently Passed Away

Earlier this week, the hockey world mourned the loss of former coach Pat Burns. If only the former Maple Leafs coach had died, it would have been a very sad story. "Here we go again," the three-time NHL coach of the year told TSN. "They're trying to kill me before I'm dead. I come to Quebec to spend some time with my family and they say I'm dead. I'm not dead, far [expletive] from it. They've had me dead since June. Tell them I'm alive. Set them straight." Well folks, apparently Pat Burns is alive. [ESPN]
