Live Blogging the Main Event
We're about to get started here just outside Fort Bragg as the Color Guard marches into the Octagon for the Star Spangled Banner. It was a heartfelt rendition and the crowd here can't get enough. The words "Home of the Brave" rang out and the arena -now full- erupted. I've been to rock concerts and Superbowls, but those crowds of nearly 100K have nothing on this modest group of a few thousand. Wow. That was a truly moving experience, and not one that I will likely forget.

Here it is, the Main Event.
Koscheck is chasing, but not landing -or even throwing- anything. Koscheck lets his hands go finally and lands a few. Yoshida returns with a couple good ones. Koscheck opens up and hurts Yoshida badly. His legs wobble and Koscheck tees off, knocking Yoshida out. Cold. TKO at 2:15 the crowd once again goes wild and breaks out a U-S-A chant. Koscheck jumps on the fence and sends his sincerest thank yous to the troops. It's time for you to send yours, go donate to the Fallen Heroes Fund.
That's it, guys. Thanks for reading and thanks for your donations. If you haven't given anything yet, it's not too late. Head to the site and give a few bucks. Give a few more, if you can. The fighters have done their part in the Octagon and the Troops have their on the battle field. It's time to do your part. I'll catch you at the TUF Finale this Saturday with the same Live Blogging Action.
Mike Swick puts a quick hurtin' on Goulet and scores a TKO at :33. The crowd loves it and a U-S-A chant breaks out. Mike Swick wants you to donate, so go donate now. In case you can't find the page it's right here.
Razak is very aggressive off the bell. Let's see how long can keep that up. "Kick him in the Condom Depot," someone yells of Razak's ass sponsorship. Cantwell lands cleanly, and Razak returns. Razak already seems to have slowed his pace. He throws a combo but opens himself up and catches another clean shot on the chin. Cantwell scores a takedown and gets into side mount. Cantwell gets a full mount, but then quickly transitions to an armbar. Cantwell cranks it and Razak holds on for what I think is a little too long, but eventually taps.
A few scrappy exchanges. A missed high kick and a stuffed takedown attempt. A head kick by Credeur is blocked, but probably still does some damage. After a little feeling out phase, Loughran opens with a few combos and rubs leather across Tim's face. Credeur lands a bomb and scores a late takedown just before the bell.
A nice view of Arianny's butt as she strolls past press row. I wonder what she puts in that back pocket. Seriously, those shorts have a pocket.
Loughran in for the takedown but he's stuffed and Credeur bulls forward and knocks Nate to his back, securing his own takedown. Credeur has a closed guard. He attmepts what looked like an armbar, but came up empty. Credeur is now bleeding slightly from his left eye. Nothing serious. Nate continues to look for the armbar, but it's not there. Referee Miragliotta stand them up.Nice right to the chin of Loughran. And another. He's going for the kill landing serious leather. Saved by the bell.
It appears that Nate will not be returning for a third round. Not sure why yet. TKO for Credeur.
We're off, guns blazin! Miller scores a takedown and goes to work looking for submissions early. Wiman is cut above his right eye. Wiman reverses and ends up in Miller;s guard. Wiman backs off and Miller recovers. Wiman scores with a right-left combo. Miller goes in for a standing guillotine but has to let it go. A superman punch from Miller grazes the chin of Wiman. That's the round. Has to go to Miller.
A few brief technical difficulties kept round two from publishing. Sorry about that guys.
Now it's Wiman on the offensive, unleashing a barrage, but Miller ducks and scores a takedown. Wiman recovers, but pays for it with a few hard hits from Miller and it's back to the canvas with Miller on top. Miller now in side mount is looking to do something big, clearly operating on a higher level of jiu jitsu than most are used to. Miller steps back and Wiman recovers, feeding MIller a knee. Miller gets a takedown, but he steps back and Wiman grabs a leg to score a TD of his own. The Jersey wrestler ends up taking Wiman's back. He just about has a rear naked choke, but the folks behind me are pleading for a stand-up. I guess they like their knockouts. Miller gives up the back but goes for a guillotine. The bell rings and Miller rolls off, exhausted. Great Round!
Miller gets the unanimous decision.
Mick Foley just found a seat right next to me. This is turning out to be a FANTASTIC night! Go Donate.
