Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey, Jr. are poised to be noticed by the Academy this year with the upcoming biopic/drama, The Soloist. Director Joe Wright's (Pride and Prejudice, Atonement) most recent film, it centers around a schizophrenic homeless man, Nathaniel Ayers (played by Foxx) who is an exceptionally gifted musician. Discovered by LA Times writer Steve Lopez, Ayers is supported in his love of music and finally given the chance to pursue his talent. This could be one of the better dramas of the year. Take a look after the jump.
