Tarantino Shops his Inglorious WWII Project

July 8, 2008

The rumors surrounding Quentin Tarantino’s WWII movie, Inglorious Bastards, have been long-winded, myriad, and long-standing.  Now there're some more. Nikki Finke is reporting that he’s shopped around the project to 4 major studios in the last 2 days.  Here’s what he says about the movie and the studios:

Tarantino himself has described it as a Spaghetti Western meets World II film that's an homage to the Dirty Dozen with a story about a group of soldiers on their way to be executed who get the chance of a reprieve. I hear it's gone out to Universal, Warner Bros, Paramount (all yesterday) and Sony (today).
