Ryan Adams Says He's Quitting Music For a Bit

by dsussman   January 14, 2009 at 3:10PM  |  Views: 102

Ryan Adams recently posted a blog entry on his website saying that he's through with music, for now. According to the letter, the last date of his tour with the Cardinals on March 20th at Atlanta's Fox Theater will be his "last venture" with the country/rock outfit.

In the long open letter, Ryan states that he's sick of being taken for granted, beaten up by the road and having some serious hearing issues: "i lost more than anyone will ever know (hearing, someone i loved, my sense of dignity, a never ending losing battle with stage fright and now my hearing and balance due to an inner ear issue."

Sounds like being a rock star really blows.

Hit Ryan's blog to check out the entire farewell letter.
