After announcing the Fame Kills Tour with Lady Gaga two weeks ago, Kanye West has officially ended the engagement.
Concert promoter Live Nation has said today that the Kanye West/Lady Gaga Fame Kills tour has been canceled just two weeks after it was officially announced.
No reason was given for the cancellation. A press release stated that refunds are available at the point of purchase and that tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically.
The reason for the abrupt cancellation was not revealed, but rumors have been swirling that West's interruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards last month has something to with it. West even told NBC’s Jay Leno last month that he planned “to take some time off” in the aftermath of his MTV awards show embarrassment.
The three-month, 34-show tour across the United States and Canada was to start next month. Tickets went on sale last week.
Sounds like Ye might finally take a much-needed timeout from the spotlight. Thank God.
