Tila Tequila is No Longer Pregnant, Never Was

Remember when Tila Tequila tweeted that’s she was pregnant and acting as a surrogate mother for her brother’s baby. Well, she lied. She’s not actually pregnant, well, not yet anyway. The former reality television star blames Twitter for the mix-up/fallacy. She tells Us magazine, “I'm going to become a surrogate mother for my brother and his wife. That means I'm going to be pregnant. But the words 'going to be' didn't fit. (Twitter posts are limited to 140 characters.) So I said 'I'm pregnant.' I'm not, but I'm going to be.” Hmmm, that part kind of seemed important to leave in. [US Magazine]

Women Love Kate Winslet and Kelly Brook’s Curves

According to a new poll, women love curvy women. Kate Winslet and Kelly Brook took out the first two spots in a poll where women were asked to name which celebrity had the most desirable body. Winslet came in first place with 16 percent and Brook came in a close second with 15 percent. Extremely skinny women, such as Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham did not bode well in the poll. Both received only one percent of votes, tying for last place on the list. Over 2,000 women aged 18 or over took part in the survey. [ICYDK]

Director of The Road Talks About Film Apocalypse

While making The Road, director John Hillcoat kept a diary of the production. In it he talks about the difficulties of shooting in below-zero weather, working with child actors, and the future of film. Now that his next project has been shut down – an adaptation of the book The Wettest County in the World – even with its A-list cast (Shia LaBeouf, Ryan Gosling, and Amy Adams), he sounds appropriately grim about how many and what kind of films are going to get made from here on out. If you want to know the thoughts of a great Australian filmmaker, you’ll want to read these excerpts from his diary. [Telegraph]

Next James Bond Movie Gets Put on Hold

Thanks to the financial woes of MGM, the 23rd James Bond movie is getting stuck in development hell. It appears that until a new owner takes possession of MGM, any and all of its big movies could get stalled. Yes, we’re looking at you, The Hobbit. The producers of the film are talking about February as the beginning of pre-production, but this is probably assuming that MGM will be sold by then. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench have already made time in their busy schedules to shoot the film, so hopefully everything will go as planned. [/Film]

According to a Twitter message from Chris Cornell, Soundgarden will reunite for a string of live shows at some point this year. Chris Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd, and drummer Matt Cameron have not played together live since splitting up in early 1997. Even though no details have been announced yet, sources have told Billboard the band is weighing offers from several major U.S. and international festivals. [Billboard]

Tiger Woods Goes Topless in Vanity Fair

It's not quite Marge Simpson on the cover of Playboy, but there is a certain amount of intrigue surrounding the world's number one golfer going bareback (again) on the cover of this month's Vanity Fair. Though his wife (and a collection of reality show rejects and bar maids) have had the pleasure of seeing Woods strip off the clothing that Nike still pays him to endorse, this will be a chance for the rest of the world to see the chest that launched a thousand alimony checks - and the nipples behind one of golf's sweetest strokes. Apple Planning "Major" Announcement for January 27th

Apple has had some sort of event on the radar for the past few weeks, scheduled for Tuesday January 26th in San Francisco. But what that event is supposed to entail has been shrouded in secrecy. The folks at All Things Digital today reported that the event is apparently "a big deal" and will the company is doing it to "announce a major new product." Everything seems to be lining up for a tablet announcement, but we'll know for sure in about three weeks. That should give all the fanboys plenty of time to ditch last year's old (and now useless) gear. [Digital Daily]

Samsung and JVC Backing RealD Tech for 3D HDTV

3D's assault on the home theater this year includes a battle over which glasses technology each manufacturer will choose, and after locking up Sony RealD has announced its tech is coming alongside new displays from JVC and Samsung. While JVC's 3D LCDs will use circular polarized passive glasses (like the ones you've probably worn at the movies) Samsung is promising to work on both active shutter LCD and passive eyewear models. Either way, they will still make you look like a tool. [HMM]
