Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have officially called it quits. The couple announced over the weekend that their seven-year marriage has come to an end. Lopez and Anthony released a statement saying, “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.” The couple married in 2004 shortly after Lopez called off her engagement to actor Ben Affleck. No reason has been given for the split. The couple has two children, 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Use a Large Fork, Eat Less

When it comes to eating less, size does matter… the size of your fork, that is. Researchers at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City found that people who eat using a small fork eat more than those who used larger utensils. This is because “people who use smaller utensils feel they are eating less food.” The study, which was published in the current issue of the Journal of Consumer Research, was conducted an Italian restaurant over two days. Researchers were disguised as waiters and scattered the restaurant with different sized forks. Plates of food were weighed before being served and after customers were finished. Those with the larger forks consumed less. Researchers said, “People do not have clear internal cues about the appropriate quantity to consume. They allow external cues, such as fork size, to determine the amount they should consume.” So if you want to lose weight, change the size of your utensils.

Harry Potter Makes Box Office History

According to the mind-boggling numbers, Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 had the biggest opening of all time at U.S. movie theaters over the weekend, taking in $168.6 million. Bloody brilliant. If that wasn’t enough, Hallows Part 2 had the largest opening day ever for a film and the largest opening for the franchise itself. Once the international numbers roll in, the final Potter feature should also easily take the Quidditch World Cup as the worldwide box office leader as well. The previous record-holder for domestic box office was The Dark Knight with $158.4 million. Strange magic, indeed.

Nolan Ryan Hospitalized for Heart Problem

Texas Rangers President and legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan is reportedly undergoing tests on his heart at a Houston hospital. Earlier today, the Texas Rangers ballclub said in a statement that Ryan is "resting comfortably and reports he is feeling better." After having double-bypass surgery back in 2000, on Sunday morning, Ryan reportedly experienced discomfort in his chest at his home in Georgetown, Texas that "is believed to be a recurrence of the heart condition which he has previously experienced.” Apparently Ryan will be released from the hospital in couple of days. We wish Nolan Ryan a speedy recovery.
