Clash of the Directors

The remake of Clash of the Titans has been in the works for awhile, but rumor has it there’s going to be a director swap. No longer is Stephen Norrington, director of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, attached to the project. Seems the powers that be wanted to increase the cache of the film and, upon noticing the marginal success of The Incredible Hulk, have taken up with Louis Leterrier. Can’t say this really has me doing back-flips. To begin with, I never really felt like Clash was a movie that desperately needed to be remade. Secondly, if adding Louis Leterrier (who also directed The Transporter 2) is what your movie needs to go that extra mile, well… I suspect there’s not going to be a huge clash at the box office.
