Lil Wayne Heading to Jail in February | SPIKE

Lil Wayne is set to be sentenced to jail on February 9th in his New York gun case.
Ironically enough, Weezy’s sentencing will come just days after his new album Rebirth gets officially released on Febuary 1st. Wayne pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. His plea deal calls for a year in jail.

Weezy had previously pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3 1/2 years in prison upon conviction. Police said a gun was found on his tour bus in Manhattan in 2007. When asked what type of gun he possessed, Wayne said, "A .40-caliber semi-automatic."

I can't believe Weezy will be gone for a whole year. Although having a big break from Auto-Tune raps will be a nice treat for 2010. I hope Weezy likes being a human lollipop for inmates twice his size...
