Amanda Bynes is the Brett Favre of Acting

July 26, 2010

Amanda Bynes is back. The actress, who last month declared she was retiring, has decided to return the gold watch and get back to work.

As predicted by last month, it didn’t take long for Amanda Bynes to abandon her plans to retire from acting. The 24-year-old actress took to Twitter (the same platform she used to announce her retirement) to proclaim: “I’ve unretired.” She then followed the tweet with a link to the trailer of her latest film Easy A, which begs the question – Was this all a marketing stunt?

It was only June 21 that the actress decided to throw in the towel on her 17-year showbiz career. Back then the perky blonde wrote in a series of tweets, “Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I've #retired.” Cue retirement for five weeks. Surely Bynes knows the difference between retirement and a vacation.

Bynes has not commented further on her “unretirement” and no new projects starring the actress have been announced.
