Comic-Con 2011: New Avengers Posters Feature Black Widow and Hawkeye in All of Their Ass-Kicking Glory
Yesterday, I may have ribbed the marketing team behind the wildly anticipated Avengers flick for their teaser poster that only revealed the type font for the movie. I take it all back. The newest posters that hit the floor of Comic-Con today revealed two of the minor characters in action...and they kick major ass.
The new posters feature The Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner as the bow-and-arrow-wielding Hawkeye who made a brief appearance in Thor and the very sultry Scarlett Johansson as the stunning but deadly Black Widow, reprising her skintight jumpsuit-wearing performance from Iron Man 2 for the new film set for release next summer.
Hopefully, this means that more Avengers teaser posters are on their way and set for release later on during the Con. If it were up to me, they would only be a string of Black Widow posters in various poses and outfits featuring an ever-increasing deeper neckline. That's what the marketing department calls "maximum exposure."
