Tokio Hotel Drummer Beaten in Bar Brawl!

July 14, 2009

According to Bild, Gustav Schäfer, the drummer for the craptacular German pop group Tokio Hotel, was admitted to the hospital over the weekend after getting in a bar fight in his hometown Magdeburg.

Bild reported yesterday that Schäfer was involved in a brawl early Sunday morning after an unidentified young man talked some serious trash on the drummer at a venue called The Club in the eastern German city. Schäfer was then beat several times with two beer bottles, which caused two serious cuts including one on the back of his head.

“Gustav was admitted to the hospital emergency room around 4:30 am,” the band’s manager David Jost told the paper. “The wound on his head required immediate stitches.” The drummer has also decided to press charges against his unidentified assailants.

German music fans are intense.
