Mel Gibson Knows His Beavers
Mel Gibson plays a CEO of a struggling toy company and father who's got some serious mental issues in The Beaver. His life has reached such lows that, after finding a beaver puppet in a pile of trash, he wears the puppet at all times and will only talk to people through the beaver in an English accent. Take a look at some of the bizarre photos from the shoot after the jump.
Gibson looks like he's really throwing himself into the part, and the beaver itself looks loveable, filthy, and hilarious. This is being directed by Jodie Foster, so it will be interesting to see how this all turns out.
So after seeing these photos are you just the least bit curious to find out how Foster and Gibson are going to pull off a movie where the main character communicates via a beaver puppet the entire time? This movie was on the fabled Black List of best unproduced screenplays (it's written by Kyle Killen) of 2008, so it's nice to see that it's finally going to be brought to life.
