After sending out a not-so-nice Tweet following the brutal death of Ryan Dunn yesterday, film critic Roger Ebert got a little taste of his own medicine after fellow Jackass
pal Bam Margera retaliated with a few harsh words of his own. Awww snap! It just got real, son.
Following the tragic passing of Dunn in a car accident early yesterday morning, Ebert Tweeted to friends and followers, “Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.” After almost 24 hours, Bam Margera hit back hard last evening saying, "I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of s**t roger ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents about a jackass drunk driving and [he is] one, f**k you!"
Bam also added, "Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat f**king mouth!"
Ebert did come back with an official apology
to friends and family of Dunn. He stated: "To begin with, I offer my sympathy to Ryan Dunn's family and friends, and to those of Zachary Hartwell, who also died in the crash. I mean that sincerely. It is tragic to lose a loved one." Ebert continued, "I also regret that my tweet about the event was considered cruel. It was not intended as cruel. It was intended as true. I have no way of knowing if Ryan Dunn was drunk at the time of his death."
Look, I love Roger Ebert just as much as the next guy and it is true that drunk driving is indeed completely asinine, but it might have been a good idea to chill on this one. Just sayin’.Photo: Polk Imaging/Getty Images
