Sony PS2 to Drop Below $100
Joystiq is reporting that an inside source at Kmart has leaked that the PS2 will start retailing for less than $100 on April 5th.
It’s a pretty shaky source, but if it’s true, it’s good news for bargain gamers out there. Not only will their initial console investment be lower, but PS2 games can be had for a pretty nice McDonald’s Happy Meal toy at this point. That’s where you’re going to save your money, but it’s also where you’re going to lose your sweet-ass Hamburgler action figure driving a McChicken sandwich-shaped car.
