Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning | SPIKE

The next (allegedly) big mmorpg, Warhammer: Age of Reckoning has a set realase date, and it's September 18^th.  If the trailer is any indication, that is also the day that I resign from Spike and adopt my new mantle as warlord of my apartment.

The thing that is going to make Warhammer different from other online rpgs (other than different/better characters and weapons) is a new feature called realm-to-realm combat.  Basically, you and all you friends from all over the world - anybody that is occupying the same realm as you - is designated a warrior of that realm.  As a result they are simultaneously charged with defending it from invasion and invading other realms.

I remember the first time I played 16-player Halo Capture the Flag.  That just about made me want to weep with joy. What possible new heights is this going to take me to?  What depths will my hygiene and anti-social tendencies reach? I must cleave something!  I'm going down to the 76 station by my house, I'm going to the back room where I know they sell illegal swords and hammers and shit, and I'm finally going to make my purchase. Gotta get ready. Gotta stay sharp.
