Samsung May Be Bringing a Massive OLED TV to CES

The Consumer Electronics Show has become a mecca for TV geeks who are always on the lookout for the newest, biggest and clearest picture to suck the juice out of their eyeballs with hours of quality high definition programming.

It seems that Samsung might be bringing one of their biggest behemoths yet to this year's CES in Las Vegas.

Rumors have surfaced that Samsung as a 55-inch OLED HD TV on its "To-Ship" list for next month's CES show and could hit the retail stores as early as the second quarter of 2012.

The organic cousin to the light emitting diode television haven't been the most popular technological choice on the TV shelf because of their high price tag, but they do offer deeper colors and less backlight than the traditional LCD and provide a greener alternative for homes looking to save a little on their energy bill without sacrificing quality. Of course, some of the smaller OLED TVs can cost at least $1,000 so a 55-inch one will require a bigger down payment, perhaps even a second mortgage on your home.

With all the new electronics and gadgets CES 2012 in Las Vegas is going to be absolutely phenomenal. Best part? As the official broadcaster of the entire event, SPIKE is going to give viewers at home an All Access pass to see what goes behind the closed doors of CES 2012: exclusives, celebrities, special guests, and surprises that you won't find anywhere else - and it all starts on January 10.
