The cynical jerk in all of us says that hot women dig hot cars. That means science is a raging, cynical d-bag.

Drive a Hot Car, Get a Hot Chick, Science Says

A new study from the University of Texas at San Antonio found that, simply, hot chicks dig guys with hot cars. The study surveyed nearly 1,000 men and women on their views of the opposite sex and published their findings in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.

The results found that expensive cars and clothes send mental signals to women that the guy engages in "splashy personal spending" and therefore only wants a short term relationship or a quick one-night stand. Women who are into that sort of thing pick up on those signals and respond accordingly (a.k.a. waking up next to someone whose name they may or may not remember while trying to think of a fake phone number).

The study, of course, does not mean that all women respond the same way to the same situation, but it does improve the guy's chances of getting some if they have a flashy-enough car and clothes to make it happen. In other words, used Geos finish last, as they do in all forms of competition.
