Comic-Con 2011: Paranormal Activity 3 Teaser Looks Creepy

byTheta1138   July 21, 2011 at 3:00PM  |  Views:  |  Comment
Hey, remember when the first "Paranormal Activity" scared the crap out of everybody? And then the sequel came along, and somehow managed to still be that scary and actually be a substantial improvement? Well, the team behind the third one would like to remind you of that with a new teaser for the third installment.

The idea seems to be that the third film will finally explain why, precisely, Katie and her family are constantly plagued by demons and demon attacks. It seems to all stem from a specific incident in 1988, where Katie and her sister Kristi tick something off, and then apparently it follows them around for nearly two decades.

The third in this series of prequels comes from Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the directors of "Catfish," one of the simultaneously creepiest and saddest documentaries you'll ever see (go in cold: you don't want to know anything about it). It also looks like this will continue the series' tendency to have siblings mock each other, which is always good.

"Paranormal Activity 3" opens in theaters October 21st.
