Clamcase Shell Lets iPad Owners Pretend They Bought Something Else

  May 06, 2010 at 3:56PM  |  Views: 145

Feast your eyes on what is likely to be the most ironic piece of tech gear you'll see today: the Clamcase iPad Shell. Featuring an integrated stand and Bluetooth keyboard, it's the perfect companion for the iPad user who wishes they'd just bought an actual laptop instead.

While it will still lack USB ports, Flash support, and various other basic functions that any ol' netbook can do, the Clamcase looks to provide iPad users with a level of usability that should bring them right in line with laptop buyers circa 2001. It also remains to be seen how awkward switching between the keyboard and tapping on the screen will be. Regardless, the Clamcase is due in stores this fall, with pricing details still forthcoming.
