Trade Your Bible in for Porn

March 4, 2010

A student group at a Texas university is making it easier to turn Saints into sinners by allowing students to trade in their bible for porn. Yes, porn.

The Atheist Agenda, a student group at the University of Texas-San Antonio, likens the bible to pornography and every year they conduct their “Smut for Smut” campaign. The campaign is simple: hardcore religious types can drop by and swap religious text for some hardcore adult literature. The campaign is held because the Atheist Agenda think the bible is as smutty as pornography and “contains violence and torture” that “spark religious wars.” To them, it’s an even swap.

Understandably the campaign has caught the ire of religious folk, who are protesting the groups’ controversial exchange program. The group has had their booth surrounded with people protesting, singing religious songs and holding up banners.

So far only 10 religious texts have been swapped for porn.

What do you think? Is it funny or blasphemous?
