After announcing his official return to the Hollywood scene a couple weeks back, troubled former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has put all of his upcoming film projects on hold after publicly admitting that he fathered a child with his family housekeeper. “Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines,” his lawyer Patrick Knapp said earlier today. These unfortunate turn of events have already instantly set back Cry Macho and the next film in the Terminator series. Burn. Schwarzenegger and Shriver announced early last week that they were indeed separating after 25 years of marriage. Things just keep gettin’ worse for the Austrian Oak. [US News]

Botox Mom Cries Hoax

The mother who admitted to injecting her 8-year-old daughter with botox now says it was a hoax. Sheena Upton says she was paid $200 by British newspaper The Sun to play ‘Kerry Campbel’ and to read from a script saying she injected her daughter with botox. Upton’s daugther was subsequently removed from her care by authorities. Upton released a statement saying, “The truth is that I have never given my daughter Botox, nor allowed her to get any type of waxing, nor is she a beauty pageant contestant. I realize now that, at the time I made a bad decision to accept the role in the story for The Sun, and I regret my participation. The implications have been severe for my family as well as my daughter and myself.” The newspaper that allegedly paid for the story disputes the claims, saying, “The Sun strongly denies any suggestion it solicited or knowingly published a false story regarding Kerry Campbell and her daughter. The article was published in good faith, in common with a large number of other news organizations around the world, after being received in full from a reputable UK news agency." Good Morning America and Inside Edition also ran with the story and reportedly paid Upton a wad of cash to license photos. [TMZ]

LinkedIn, the online social network for professionals, has made a stunning debut on the New York Stock Exchange. The shares closed at $94.25, up 109% from their IPO's opening price of $45 a share. LinkedIn’s chief executive Jeff Weiner said, “It’s an exciting day. We were able to find investors who understood our story and understood our desire to invest in our platform.” The successful listing paves the way for other tech companies, such as Facebook and Groupon, to list on the stock exchange. Critics have called the listing overinflated and fear it may lead to another tech bubble. [New York Times]
