Ricky Gervais Is Deadly Funny
In Ricky Gervais’s new film, Ghost Town, he plays a misanthropic dentist who buys the farm for a good 7 minutes before he’s brought back to life. In the process he gains the ability to both see and talk to dead people – think The Sixth Sense meets Ghost meets that episode of the British version of The Office when David Brent goes on a blind date with Dawn’s apartment manager. Something like that. I guess. The first half of this preview is funny; the second half makes me fear a half-baked romantic comedy. With strange casting choices like Greg Kinnear and Tea Leoni, well… Let’s just hope the extras are good...
