Real Housewife Assaults Boyfriend

A reality television star is in hot water for allegedly beating up her boyfriend. Kelly Killoren Bensimon, who appears in Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City, was arrested last week for assaulting her boyfriend Nicholas Stefanov. Stefanov told police that Bensimon “hit him” with a closed fist causing lacerations under his left eye. Bensimon, who isn’t even married, denies the incident. She said that Stefanov is merely a jilted lover seeking revenge. [NY Daily News]

Katy Perry Shows Some Cleavage

Katy Perry is featured in the latest issue of Esquire magazine and she looks smoking hot. In her interview with the men’s mag she talks about her love of fruit, what she looks for in a guy, and whether she thinks she’ll ever be as big as Gwen Stefani or Madonna. Thankfully, the article also contains some sexy photos of the “I Kissed a Girl” pop star. [Esquire]

The 10 Sexiest SNL Moments

SNL isn’t really know for its humor anymore (discounting, of course, Andy Samberg).  So why not get the 10 sexiest moments of the show’s history together?  They’re few and far between, but these diamonds in the rough stand out like Jennifer Aniston’s famously-erect nipples.  By the way, her pokies weigh in at #9 on the list, but the sexiest entry is clearly #8.  Check it out. Secret Message Found in Lincoln’s Watch

At the beginning of the Civil War, President Lincoln’s pocket watch was being fixed and/or tinkered with by a watch repairman. The man was working in South Carolina when he heard that the opening shots of the war had been fired at Gettysburg.  He told his kids later in life that he wrote in Lincoln's watch “The first gun is fired.  Slavery is dead.  Thank God we have a President who at least will try.” [The Washington Post]

Mickey Rourke Is Back In Iron Man 2

After Marvel first offered the paltry sum of $250,000 for him to play the role, and after his agent David Unger worked his mojo, Mickey Rourke is once again cast as a villain in Iron Man 2. He’ll likely play a Russian villain who has his own nuclear-powered power suit. It’s good to hear that Marvel is getting all its ducks in a row. If Rourke drops out of this project one more time it will be hard to take any news about this project seriously. Let’s hope this time it’s final. [Deadline Hollywood Daily]

Chris Brown Withdraws Name From Kids' Choice Awards Ballot

Amid the controversy surrounding his two Kids' Choice Awards nominations, Chris Brown withdrew his name from the ballot today. A statement from the Chris' rep stated: "Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song.” He went on to say that “the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated.” [LA Times]

Norway's Most Notorious Musician to be Released From Prison

Norwegian black metal legend Varg Vikernes, who murdered Mayhem guitarist Øystein Aarseth and set three churches on fire, will be released on parole after having served almost 16 years of a 21-year prison sentence. Best known as the mastermind of the band Burzum, Vikernes was also a far-right political activist. Though he was refused parole four times, Vikernes recently told Daglabet magazine that he is now set to walk free. "I'm ready for society — and I have been for many years, I have learned from my mistakes and become older." [The Guardian]
