If you were angry that William Shatner didn't get a cameo in the reboot of Star Trek, be angry no more. The man has gotten a new gig.
Shatner is going to play the cantankerous father of a writer in the CBS sitcom S*** My Dad Says, which is based off the popular Twitter account of writer Justin Halpern. Pretty perfect, no? There aren't a lot of details at this point, though there's really not much to talk about:
As you know, the Twitter account of Justin Halpern has garnered over a million followers reciting colorful comments by Halpern's father. The project was picked up for sitcom development by CBS with Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick attached and is now going to the next stage.
So if you've been needing a fix of William Shatner, you're going to get just that.
But back to Star Trek... J.J. Abrams is going to give Shatner a cameo in the new movie, right?
