The old Charlie Sheen may be back, guys. During an appearance on The Tonight Show, the notorious actor finally admitted to his ridiculous behavior over the last year and said that he deserved to get booted from Two and a Half Men. “I would have fired my ass, too,” Sheen told Leno. Charlie went on to say that he may have “said some things that were a little out there” and he also “might have overshot the mark a little bit.” Leno followed up by asking, “Many people thought you were out of control. Were you out of control?” “Absolutely,” Sheen answered. [NBC]

Brad Pitt Talks “Dull” Life with Jennifer Aniston

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s failed marriage still manages to make headlines. The actor has been criticized for insensitive comments he made to Parade magazine about the years he was married to Aniston. The actor opened up about his life before falling in love and having six children with Angelina Jolie, saying, “It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.” The magazine hasn’t even hit newsstands and already Pitt has issued a clarification, saying his quote was taken out of context. He released a statement saying, “It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself – and that, I am responsible for.” Glad he cleared that up. [New York Daily News]

In what has to be one of the most ridiculous high profile name changes of all time, Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest has officially and legally changed his name to “Metta World Peace.” Yes, Metta World Peace. At a quick court session earlier today, a Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner approved Artest's request to become Metta World Peace. I still can’t believe that I just typed that. I’m gonna go ahead and say that his new basketball jersey will be the biggest seller of all time. How can it not be? [TMZ]

Paul McCartney Set to Wed Again

After a disastrous second marriage, the Beatle is set to marry fiancée Nancy Shevell. The couple has officially posted a notice of intention to marry at London's Marylebone Town Hall. This is the same venue McCartney married first wife Linda in 1969. The venue has a reputation as a “rock ‘n’ roll place to tie the knot.” Other musicians who have been wedded there include Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and Oasis singer Liam Gallagher. The couple can choose the Yellow Room, which holds 20 people, the larger Blue Room, the Art Deco-influenced Purple Room, or the wood-paneled Reception Room for the ceremony. McCartney has been dating the 51-year-old businesswoman for four years and became engaged in May. This will be McCartney’s third marriage and Shevell’s second. The couple can marry any time after September 30 and have a year to hold the ceremony. [Reuters]
