The perpetually single Jennifer Aniston can take cold comfort in the fact that while she may be alone, she is at least still desired. Find out who she beat out in the list of the world's most eligible single women after the jump.
A new poll has named Jennifer Aniston the world’s most eligible single woman. The currently single 41-year-old actress was given the honor in a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll released today.
Aniston nabbed 29 percent of the votes easily beating out the newly single Halle Berry who garnered 21 percent. Also on the list were Tiger Wood’s ex Elin Nordegren with 15 percent; Betty White with 11 percent; Lady Gaga with 5 percent and the new Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Elena Kagan with 4 percent.
Aniston, who is reportedly worth about $110 million, has had a string of high profile relationships since her marriage to Brad Pitt dissolved in 2005. She has dated such men as Vince Vaughn, John Mayer and most recently Cougar Town star Josh Hopkins.
While the actress is often portrayed as the poster-child of the lonely hearts club, Aniston says she’s still an optimist when it comes to love. She told Vogue magazine in 2008, "This whole 'Poor lonely Jen' thing, this idea that I'm so unlucky in love? I actually feel I've been unbelievably lucky in love ... I'm right where I'm supposed to be.”
Here’s hoping her new title will tip the scale Aniston’s way and she’ll find a good bloke who wants to stick around.
